講題介紹 Topic Introduction:
Technically speaking, diplomacy is the principal means of resolving disputes via negotiation. But somehow diplomacy goes beyond negotiation; it is an art that blends persuasion with strategic communication. Lessons from frontline diplomacy emphasize flexibility and adaptability, the importance of local context and langauge, the need for strategic negotiation and communication, and ever-evolving nature of diplomatic practices in a complex world. Frontline diplomacy requires diplomats to build trust, manage complex stakeholder interests, and find creative solutions beyond traditional bureaucratic approaches to achieve real-world outcomes in high-stakes situations.
